1. Service Overview

Good For You is a wellness fact-checking application that analyzes health and wellness claims using AI (Anthropic Claude) and provides verdicts (Legit, Mixed, or Delulu), confidence scores, and personalized health context based on available scientific evidence.

2. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer

Mer-Tel uses AI for claim analysis and verdict generation. The technology is experimental and may generate inaccurate or incomplete content. You rely on any verdict or output at your sole risk. Mer-Tel is not liable for AI-generated content.

Verdicts are based on available evidence at the time of analysis. Scientific understanding evolves. The Service cannot account for all individual health factors.

3. Not Medical Advice

IMPORTANT: The Service provides general wellness information only and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Mer-Tel is not engaged in rendering medical advice. Your use does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Personalized verdicts are based on self-reported profile information and AI analysis, not clinical assessments.

If you have questions about a medical condition, consult a licensed healthcare professional. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in Good For You.

MEDICAL EMERGENCY. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, discontinue use and call the relevant emergency number in your country.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with applicable laws.

5. Accounts and Registration

To access most features, you must register using Apple Sign In. You are responsible for your account and all activities under it. If you believe your account is no longer secure, notify us at support@thisisgoodforyou.ai.

6. Fees and Payments

6.1 General. The Service offers free and paid tiers. Fees are in U.S. Dollars and non-refundable except as required by law. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store.

6.2 Free Plan. The free tier provides limited access, including up to 10 wellness claim checks per week.

6.3 Premium. Premium access is $59.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, including unlimited claim checks and full personalized features.

6.4 Subscription. Your subscription begins at purchase (or end of trial). Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID Account Settings.

6.5 Free Trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase. Eligibility is determined by Apple.

6.6 Refunds. Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies. Contact Apple for refund requests.

7. Licenses

7.1. Subject to your compliance, Mer-Tel grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Good For You app and access the Service for personal, non-commercial use.

7.2. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or circumvent any feature of the Service except as permitted by law.

7.3 Feedback. If you provide suggestions or ideas, you grant Mer-Tel an unrestricted, perpetual license to use them without obligation.

7.4. The Service and all materials are owned by Mer-Tel or its licensors. No implied licenses are granted.

8. Third-Party Terms

The Service integrates with Anthropic, Firebase/Google Cloud, RevenueCat, and Adjust. Your use is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices or terms.

9. User Content

You may submit content (claims, health profile, feedback). You retain rights subject to the licenses below.

You grant Mer-Tel a worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to host, use, and process your content to provide and improve the Service and to derive anonymized, aggregated information.

You represent that you have the rights to submit content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: use the Service illegally; submit false or malicious claims; infringe third-party rights; use bots or automated access; circumvent security or usage limits; redistribute verdicts as professional advice; interfere with the Service; engage in fraud; or sell or transfer your access.

11. Communications

By installing the app, you agree to receive push notifications (disable in device settings). We may send emails about our products and services; opt out via the unsubscribe link.

12. Modification of Terms

We may change these Terms. Revisions are effective upon posting; for existing users, material revisions are effective 30 days after posting unless stated otherwise. We may require acceptance to continue. If you do not agree, discontinue use.

13. Term, Termination, and Modification of the Service

These Terms are effective when you accept or first use the Service. If you violate these Terms, your access terminates automatically. Mer-Tel may terminate or suspend your account at any time. You may terminate by deleting your account or contacting support@thisisgoodforyou.ai.

Upon termination: your license ends; you must cease use; you must pay any unpaid amounts; and certain sections survive.

Mer-Tel may modify or discontinue the Service (including paid features) at any time without notice or liability.

14. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Mer-Tel and its affiliates from third-party claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms or law, violation of third-party rights, health decisions based on the Service, or disputes with third parties.

15. Disclaimers; No Warranties

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available." Mer-Tel disclaims all warranties, express or implied. Mer-Tel does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The Service is for informational and educational purposes only, not a substitute for professional medical advice. Verdicts may contain errors. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mer-Tel is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any health consequences resulting from actions taken based on the Service. Aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Mer-Tel in the 12 months before the claim and (b) US$100.

17. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Except as in 17.2 and 17.3, you and Mer-Tel agree to resolve disputes by binding, individual arbitration. You and Mer-Tel waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

Exceptions: Either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court, pursue an enforcement action through an agency, seek injunctive relief in court, or file suit for IP infringement.

Opt-Out: You may opt out within 30 days by sending a letter to MER-TEL ELEKTRONIK ILETISIM HIZMETLERI SANAYI TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI, Attention: Legal Department – Arbitration Opt-Out, Kordonboyu Mahallesi, Ankara Caddesi No:40/5, Kartal/Istanbul 34860, with your name, email, and a statement that you wish to opt out.

Arbitration is administered by JAMS under consumer dispute rules. See www.jamsadr.com. Each party may bring claims only in an individual capacity, not in a class or representative proceeding.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign at any time. Governing law: State of Delaware. Venue: state and federal courts in New Castle County, Delaware. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference. You consent to electronic communications as described in the Privacy Policy.

19. Notice Regarding Apple

If you use our iOS app: These Terms are between you and Mer-Tel only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the Service fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the Service. You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and may enforce these Terms. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. Government embargo or on a prohibited or restricted party list.
